Hey there,

First I didn't know there was this contest. I always make a CD cover every time I buy something from the iTunes Store. I thought I could use this one for my entry as well.

It's one of my oil paintings messed up in photoshop. Painted from a photograph I took in the australian Red Centre.

I recommend you to google up some work from Tom Heasley. Kick-ass ambient soundscapes made with a tuba. The intention was to design something that fits with the music.

Really lovely....I like hte simplicity of the font verses the picture...it's very well suited. I also like the overlapping edges....the colors are nice and soft too.

I like the simplicity in this CD, but something about the image is bugging me. Not sure what exactly, but it's something about the brightness/contrast. Nice use of the space though.

Simple and effective.

I'm not 100% on the type. Seems almost like a serif font might've been more fitting.
